The performance
Following the successful mini-musical about the Dordt legend Willie Batenburg and a theatrical play about ‘The Dordt Market’, the theater company ‘Het Dordts Zuigkwintet’ is fully rehearsing for a third play, ‘The Voice of Dordt’.
On October 8, 9, 10, and 11, 2026, we will perform at music venue DJS at Grotekerksbuurt 1 in Dordrecht. Poet C. Buddingh’, who passed away in the previous century, plays a central role in the piece, along with a number of other highly illustrious residents of Dordrecht.
About the Dordts Zuigkwintet
Het Dordts Zuigkwintet is an organisation consisting of Esther Donkervoort, Bart van Aanholt, Gerhard Messelink, Bert den Boer and Peter Baldé. For the performance ‘The Voice of Dordt’, this core group is supplemented with musical accompaniment by Annemieke de Graag. The director is Petra Revet.
